Chinese Juniper Mallsai!

I just picked up this Juniper at a hardware store that has a garden center full of tropical houseplants.

the tree measures 5 1/4 inches from the earth to the top of the tree.

Any suggestions would be great as this is my first CJ.

I felt lucky to find it as they are a rarity around here now that there are no actual bonsai shops around.

groan,

I guess I would like to see some wire on the branches and the No1,2,3 branches wired into position. It would be easier to see what is going on with the tree. At the moment it is just a juniper in a pot. So if you could do that it would give me and others a better look at the tree. Possibly from these pics the one labelled the "right side" could be the front. But you you also need to look at which side has the best root base.

If you can help with some wire on it that would be great.

We moved a couple of times in hte past 2 years and i put alot of my bonsai supplies in my brothers basement.

I'll be making a trip out there this week to help him with his plants so i'll pick them up then.

I just found out this weekend that there will be a new bonsai shop coming to town!
WOOOHOOO!!!

After being shopless for 3 years, Ottawa is gonna get back in the swing!

This person has a nursery outside of town....actually WAY outside of town and has decided to retail her wears from Ottawa.

I was giving her some tips on good locations and browsing the plants she had at the mall. (temporary booth in one of our malls to see what sort of responce she gets from the people of Ottawa.

I am sooo excited. She is hoping to open in May.
She will be having workshops and classes as well, so i'll be taking advantage of that too.

WOOOHOOO!
