Chinese Elm - 180 Degrees One More Time
I'm sure everyone here who has been around for a while, will recognize this ch. elm of mine. some have even said they liked it more in the first pic before I did the restyle on it a few years back by turning it 180 degrees and restyling it from there.
Well I got tired of the way it was going, didn't like the way it was heading and I was getting bored with it. Today was the day for a new look once again after turning it back 180 degrees again. For now I think I can live with its new look. ![]()

Is pic three the new look? That is the one I like the best.

Awesome. Great job!! You have some of the coolest trees in the gallery. I've really enjoyed them. Keep it up!

At least I'm consistent in my contrariness...I still like the first image best!

I remember this tree and still like the first image the most, however in its current state it is very nice. Just one thing though, the apex of the tree looks a little squashed to me, as if someone has patted it on the hed a little too often.

Well, it just goes to show the varied taste among the bonsai crowd! IMHO, the "squashed head" apex looks very, very good.
It gives me the feeling of looking up at the spreading canopy of a large tree from down below, and to my eye gives the trunk greater power than the "distant view" of the first picture. pootsie |

In any pic this is a great tree.
