Chinese elm
I made up a planting in sort of a penjing style using this Chinese elm, a mudman, some rocks, and a container made by California potter, Cal Garton.
The container measures overall left to right, 24 inches. The first image is the whole picture, and the second is a closeup of the mudman. Mike

Hi MikeP,
I really like it,it feeds the imagination as well as paints a clear picture. The moss catches my eye, then it follows the trunk out. Then underneath I find the old master stopping to ponder the the secrets of heaven under an old and tortured tree. This planting tells a nice little story,I will want to try and make one similar to yours. It's to bad tropicals never look right for this type of creation.
