Casuarinaceae
I did not like its nebari.
Last week I had cut it, rearrange it, cut more roots and repotted it in a training pot. Next, it will have a new haircut. ![]()

Hi David,
Yes, it is an Australian tree. Casuarinaceae is the botanical name, the common name is Casuarina, for obvious reasons it is also called Horse Tail and of course in Australia She-Oak. Thank you.

I would really like to see how this tree develops. I'm really curious how, if at all, you can reduce the needles/folage. From my understanding this does not grow like a pine tree, ie. doesn't grow needles. Keep me posted if you can on its development. Thanks David |
