Cascade Juniper over waterfall Bonsai

Here is my latest creation.... Started a Juniperus Procumbens cascade over the waterfall in the koi pond. Did some trimming of the bushyness of the plant and wired one of the branches down over the waterfall. I plan to let it grow out over the summer and look at styling it as I go. One look I would like to achieve is a layered effect over the rocks. Still on the fence as to what other plants to add in this little bed to accent the juniper as well as hide the filter system. Be kind.... Any ideas on styling?

I like the juni and the waterfall, very nice. As to what you could use to set off the tree and cover the filter apperatus while also not blowing your illusion of proportion all to hades, I would think a some sheets of moss that could be removable should you ned to get to the filter. You can find out how to grow sheets of moss here in the forum,...just do a search, there have been some great articles written by BT members on cultivating and collecting moss.

The only advice I would give is to remember that juniper foliage doesn't like to stay wet, so you'll want to be careful when training that the overhanging branches don't actually get in the water (or splashed much). Otherwise you might get some fungal diseases and dieback where you don't want it.
