You are very lucky to have a secret spot providing specimens like this!
Cheers,
Hi Spatch,
We were all hoping that the Aussie would win. Man it was unfair to win in that manner. Like i mentioned before, some teams have the nerve to play and pray on that one opportunity! It is not our style (or the Aussie style!), but it has proven to be very effective! Your team did great and we are allso very proud off GUUS.
Hans.

Thanks for making me think (it's been a wile!),
Hans.

Well as I said, I am a bit conservative in my taste.

There is a big difference I suppose between someone deliberately styling a "rule breaking" tree due to ignorance of the "rules," instead of using what nature presents you with.

I will quote myself on this one whilst talking about some new Oregon Bonsai ($1.00 please :-) trees on another forum.

"Fact is, with yamadori of this quality who really cares (and does it matter) if is it's windswept, literati or over-under-sideways-down avalance chic."

Not dissing the tree or yourself Hans and will be very interested to see the development.

I wouldn't have much of clue how to approach this material but would give it a go.

Regards

TimR

P.S. All the tips you gave me on the Pinus Sylvestris are working well. Thankyou.

I'm a severe newbie to bonsai. I've been absorbing as much as I can from books and net in the last two months.
I have an approx 6 year old Japanese Juniper I purchased from a nursey a short while ago. I have been carefully pruning and pinching off little bits here and there since I don't want to cause any irreparable damage. Any suggsetions about how much is too much or preliminary shaping ideas?
I will borrow a camera in the next few days and get a pic taken of my tree to show here.... I'm a bit worried that all I have is a stick in some dirt.

Yes, but if you take a look here Italy hasn't changed their game since the last World Cup. Well, to say the truth, neither did Portugal

P.S. Here's the juniper
