Buttonwood

It was time to bring this buttonwood inside for the winter months and I finally got around to doing some much needed pruning. thought I would post a quick pic to let you see how much she has improved in eighteen months. What your seeing is probably 90% dead wood on this tree. There is a small live vein running up the trunk that is feeding all this foliage. The trunk by the way goes down almost to the bottom of the pot, which is the reason for the deep pot.

Very nice Thomas.

Do you have trouble keeping it alive in your climate?

Charles,
No problem at all. The summers being as hot as they are here with out the Florida humidity hasn't caused it any problems, nor the winters since I leave it in a south facing window and water it only once a week.

I have to say it looks like a different tree. I'm impressed with the transformation...
