Bunjin Procumbens - My Favorite Tree

I had to list this tree. It is my favorite out of all my trees. I purchased this tree from Wabi Sabi Bonsai. I did not do any of the styling. Once the wire comes off in another month or two I think it will be stunning. It has beautiful branch placement, great movement, nice taper in the trunk and nice nebari which is hard to see in the picture. I had to share it with everyone. This tree is only about 13 inches tall. The best thing about this tree is it looks great from all angles. My personal favorite!

Gilbert

Nice.

Gilbert, I like your bunjin juniper.
I hope you don't mind an unsolicited virtual, I wondered if I could improve the image...
I have tilted to the right, altered the angle of 2 of the pads on the right, and played with the crown.

What do you think?

Regards,

TB

I really like your virt TB. I have another round smaller "bunjin style" pot I would like to put this tree in but there are alot of roots I need to cut back. Next spring when I repot I'll consider your virt. Thanks!

I forgot to mention I downloaded that 3D rotation software and have been tinkering with it. This would be a perfect tree to do it with. I just need to take the pictures.

Also, I'm trying to save as much as I can for the Texas State Simposium (spelling) in Austin next month. It will be my first bonsai convention and I plan to spend alot of money!

I think that name or link got lost in the outage we had last month. Where was it? I was hoping to compare it with the Spin software I have been using for a few years.

Regards,

Matt

It's called VR ObjectWorx. I think TB can elaborate on it better than I can though.

Matt, I am using VR worx, demo available from www.vrtoolbox.com. Their site is a tad confusing, there are several different packages that all do different things. Just go to the download page on their site and get vrworx 2.0 (1.3mb d/load).

Is there a demo available for the spin image software? I've seen it mentioned in lots of places, but nowhere seems to have it available, either to buy or for demo.

Regards,

TB

Thanks for the info - what a confusing slew of names and products!

The program I have had for three years is called PictureWorks' Spin PhotoObject. IPIX (the heavy-handed immersive technology folks) bought Pictureworks from Kaidan, who made the hardware, and, I believe, did so with the intention to just take it all apart to squash that technology in favor of their charge-per-use model.

Anyway, the version of PhotoObject I have doesn't do much beyond basic Quicktime object generation. There is only one rotational plane. No hotspotting links or two axis rotation. The user interfaces being so very similar do make me think ObjectWorks is the next generation of what PhotoObject was.

It's good to see the ObjectWorx stuff around I think it was probably the pictureworks people under a new roof.

Regards,

Matt
