Hi,

I would cut it back to just an inch or two above the strong bends in each of the two branch forks and redevelop the canopy.
It should sprout like gangbusters! Both forks might not be necessary in the final design, but it will leave you some options

It is not a virtual, it is a real photo of the tree.  Hi matte, I thought of chopping the thinner (and uglier) trunk. Shalom, Moshe.
