Boring Old Olive

Hi,
I need some help with this boring old Olive tree.
I have a big plan and some virtual images for it, but first I would like to have your opinion.
Shalom,
Moshe

Re: Boring Old Olive

I would cut it back to just an inch or two above the strong bends in each of the two branch forks and redevelop the canopy.

It should sprout like gangbusters!

Both forks might not be necessary in the final design, but it will leave you some options

Re: Boring Old Olive

Hi Addam,
It is not a virtual, it is a real photo of the tree.

Hi matte,
I thought of chopping the thinner (and uglier) trunk.
Shalom,
Moshe.

Re: Boring Old Olive

Yeah, Matt!
That's a great looking shohin in the last pic. I think you should listen to Matt once again, Carmi.
By the way, how's that olive doing that you bravely cut like Matt suggested?
