Larch from BonsaiTALK's very own Dale Cochoy. I think this tree was sweating from the 90 degree weather.

Gardenia. This tree looks great when it is covered in flowers.

Charles,
I was at that show on Sunday, it was a good exhibit. In fact I bought a semi-cascade pot as shown in my last post on my restyling of my large Procumbens.

Even my four year old son had to buy a small punica for himself.

They used dry raffia during this demo because they did not have enough time to wet it. It did not work out too well.

Here is the before picture of the juniper.

The finished tree. I was impressed that Ben chose to sway from the simple literati style which could easily have been achived and went for a less traditional style. The convention was titled "Bonsai for tomorrow", so it was quite fitting.

Gary Marchel did a bald cypress demo. Unfortunately, I did not get a before picture. I was suprised to hear that Gary knew who I was. He said that he reads the IBC forum, but does not post.

The bald cypress was styled into the flat top style. This style is not particularly my favorite, but he did a great job on it.
