bonsaiTALK Hint: Did you know you can double click any bonsai term on this page for its definition?

Bonsai/Potensai Bargains

I'm starting this thread so everyone can post pics of the bonsai and potensai bargains they have been lucky enough to come by. Please no exaggerations on the prices.
I'll start off by posting this 10cm tall Serissa foetida that I got for $1 (70 cents US) when it was just a cutting in 2002. I'll post more when I get my camera running again.

Here is my Bargain

It was free, found in a skip (Dumpster)down the road from my house in spring of 2002. Someone had cleared this scotch pine out of their garden because the top had died off.
Can't go cheaper than that.
To give scale, the pot is about 30cm (1ft) wide

another juniper

here's another juniper that I got for $4.

I was checking out this pond building place and I noticed they had some blue pine junipers. The price tag said $8 but they were in bad condition so he gave them to me for $4. This one is my favorite out of the two. The other one I plan on turning into a windswept one but it is not picture worthy yet.

I have not started to even prune this guy yet because they still got a long road to recovery ahead of them still.

This was given to me by Jim Vanlandingham. Not really a deal since it was a present, but I will post it anyways-
