Bonsai Northwest Exhibition - Melbourne

Hi all
A couple of weeks ago Bonsai Northwest in Melbourne held its Bonsai exhibition. It was one of the best display of bonsai I have seen in my time at the club and is right up there with one of the best in Melbourne. The photos below turned out a bit dark due to lighting issues but I hope you can see some of the beautiful trees on display.
Hope you enjoy.
David

In order, black pine, can't remember, Japanese maple, English Elm, Pine species, Pine species.

Those are some great looking trees

I really love the trident maple forest in the first post. I don't think I've seen a forest planting done with a little path into it... it's subtle, but I really really like it.

Gday David!

I well understand the difficulties of taking photos of Bonsai in such settings, but you've done a great job. I'm sorry that I missed the show: family & friends demanded my attendance elsewhere. I know that Bonsai Northwest is home to some of Australia's best & brightest, and it looks like it was a great show!

Thanks.

Fly.

Thanks for all your kind words.

soltan, A number of very experienced bonsai people have said the same thing about the exhibition.

TimD, We are probably the largest club in Australia with a membership close to 200 now, with monthly meetings having attendences of between 80-100 people and this number is continually growing.

FlyBri, thanks for you humbling words.

Tony, I know you had to work but you had to be there to get the full effect of how great it did look.

I have some more photos but need to do some photoshoping to them.

Thanks everyone
David
