Bonsai Beginner First Post
Snapped these off in my growing area, used a backdrop so you can see the plants.
Any virtuals are greatly appreciated, I can keep them alive but its forming them into shapes and branch development that I struggle with. I think I figured out how to post pictures ![]() ![]() ![]() Message me back or email. Thanks. |

The juniper and the trident maple could use a few years to grow on before any styling should be done. I don't even know what the first one is. I say that you should let them all grow for a couple more years before attempting any kind of styling ideas, especially the trident maple. Your primary goal at this point should be just keeping them alive before worrying about branch development and so forth.
Study all you can about these threes and get to know them. Learn all you can from this forum, it can be really helpful. Check out books from the library, read articles, ask questions, etc. Be sure that your trees are in top condition and healthy before jumping head on into trying to style them and possibly doing too much too fast. My best advice is to learn, learn, learn all you can. Don't try to rush things or you will send your trees up to that great shallow pot in the sky in a hurry. Regards, Zach
