Blue Atlas Cedar

Hi,

I've recently inherited a Blue Atlas Cedar bonsai. This tree is supposed to be aprox. 25 yrs old.
I can't seem to find any listings on the type of bonsai and I'm wondering if it's a rare type of bonsai or just one that's not a desireable tree for making into a bonsai. Any help would be appreciated.

TIA

Chuck

Hi Chuck.
Blue Atlas Cedars are one my favorite trees.
You are very fortunate to have inherited that one.

Here are a couple more links for you:
A great article by Brent Walston on Cedars for Bonsai:
http://www.evergreengardenworks.com/cedars.htm
A great article on care of the species:

Congrats on your new tree.
