black olive

A few days ago I wound up doing an unscheduled demo at a workshop. The result is this Black Olive. (bucenda spinosa)

Just thought I would put it up for comments and suggestions. It has a ways to go. Needs to fill out a bit. Any other suggestions.

I do have a better background to use for the picture. One that Carl Rosner painted for me. I just haven't gotten it set up yet. Hopefully you can make the tree out with that busy background it is in.

Great trunk movement Ron and as you say the foliage will catch up. My own vision would be to see this tree in an oval unglazed light grey pot. A tree of great character thank you for sharing. Kind Regards Ash

Okay.. this is coming with a newbee grain of salt. I'm too new to all of this to suggest styling. But personally I think the tree would look better in a shallow, round, unglazed pot. Maybe a drum?

A suggestion is a suggestion. And yours isnt bad. I'll think seriously about it and get back to you on it.

Ron,

Looks to me like the crown is a bit thick for the sparse looking limbs...maybe thin the top out a bit?
