Bird nest roots
Hello all, I'm intrigued to others opinions of the roots on my Norway maple, crimson king. I've heard these kind of roots described as birds nest roots and was wondering what you guys thought as to weather they are unsightly and should be buried or just go with it as a bit of interest in the design?

I think these roots could be good or bad.
In this case I think they would look out of place. I would suggest layering to create new nebari just about the "nest". I would then use the the bottom half to create an interesting shohin. |
