Benches That Creates Privacy
Here are some benches I have been building. When you place them next to each other they form a privacy fence that can be moved around.

Thanks Jay and Bonsaimon: They cost me around $80.00 a piece to build. I need to build 4 more to complete the inclosure. Now if they could just keep those dang tree rats away I'd have something.

My wife watched a tree rat last night burying something in one of my willow pots. Of course she said they were "too cute" to stop. I'm thinking about lining my growing area with barbed wire, and perhaps putting up an electric fence inside that, to stop these dang things from digging up my cuttings.
Anything on a table is dug up by a tree-rat, anything on the ground is eaten by a long-eared hopping demon. A quince in the ground I'd left to thicken up was completely defoliated the other day... all that was left was a few scraps on the ground.

I used some Squirrel-Away (not its real name. I can't recall it came in a 1 qt milk-type carton) but the main ingredient was cayenne pepper. I have seen other products that use this too, so you might try some on the soil surface. Disturbs the sensitive olfactaries of burrowing beasties.
Juliet-of-Oz here uses garlic, too I think. Season to taste. Regards, Matt
