Before and After F. microcarpa

I did some re-design work with this tree this summer...next on the agenda is a change of planting angle and/or another container - probably round.

i like the way you re-design that tree. im a big fan of ficus bonsai and i really like this one, lots of potential.

Thank you both for your input...what are your thoughts regarding another container? I was thinking the tree would look better in a round pot.

Tom,

I like the redesign very much. The smaller pot you've got there is too small and a little too deep though. It looks unstable and doesn't do much to accent the broad spreading top. Three times as wide and half as deep would work much better to reflect the broader crown.
