A Beauty Of A Gift

A couple of month's ago, I was with a friend at Brussell's Bonsai and we saw a rack for sale that is made to hold spools of wire. Well he said he thought he could make something like that and I jokingly told him to go ahead and make two while he was at it. Last week I went to his club's meeting on the gulf coast and was surprised to see that he had not only made the rack, but made a much finer version. Frank is indeed a man of many talents. I no longer have to carry wire in a plastic bucket when going to workshops.....really cool!

Regards,

David

Detail of the end peg with dowel stops. The Brussell's version had a metal ring pin.

Wow that looks great. Your friend does some beatiful woodwork. The drawer is a nice addition to hold important tools nearby.

I recently purchased a wire rack similar in design to yours only much lower quality. Mine was made of PVC by the Bonsai Society of Brevard members. They were raffled off at this year's convention. I did not win one, but one member who won two of them offered to sell me one. Now all I have to do is to buy the wire . By an odd coincidence, I ran out of all sizes of wire within the same week that I purchased the wire rack.

WOW
He went all out on that. The end peg with dowel stops, and dovetail work on the drawer. Very nice.
