hmmm. More upright is an option...Now, I'm kinda torn.I actually like both...I do agree about the hook at the top. There is something not quite balanced about the tree. Shortening the branches on the left would balance it more. However, I shortened it quite a bit and any more, the pad would be way too small. Also, I see no signs of back budding what so ever. So waiting for the area on the branch close to the trunk to back bud is pretty much out.
Its funny, this tree was originally in the upright postiotion in the can. However, you will notice that the curves are almost too perfect going up the tree. A tree with perfectly spaced, same size curves up the trunk is considered monotonous and not natural. The planting to the side minimizes this flaw and makes the tree look like its not only reaching for the side but the viewer as well. Rob |
