Any ideas on appropriate pot?

Semi cascade bucida spinosa...black olive,
Current container is 6 inches wide and 4 inches deep.
I'm wondering about what color and shape pot. brown, glazed, mica etc.

I think that you should get rid of the two branches going pretty much straight down from the cascade section. Other than that, its off to a good start!

Ted Matson recently spoke to our club regarding a cascade that was in a tall pot like that. He pointed out that putting a cascade in a tall pot draws the attention of the viewer away from the very thing your emphasizing. He recommended a much shorter pot and to display it on a taller stand.

Just a thought for the future.

It is my understanding that the pot should be very sturdy though so that it doesn't look like it is going to topple over. Short and fat like midwestern girls

I'm not prepared to start with stands for display yet....Just wanted a cascade to round out the collection. I'm not going ever enter it in a show.
Different angles give many different feels to this one. I just repotted so I am not going to do any trimming until next year. Another month and it will be in my basement greenhouse suffering thru winter like the rest of us. We will see what becomes of er'. Thanks again for looking :-)
