Another JBP that found a new home

I bought this tree from Howard Smith several years ago and I always got nice complements on it. I think Nishiki and Kotobuki are an acquired taste as Mr. Kirby points out. They have a look all their own and you can't make them into something else, you either like them or you don't, I happen to like them both. This one is gone now but I have a shohin that I can enjoy of both of these varieties. Howard has a really nice one on his website.

Thumbs up

Beautiful tree Harry, this re-sizing project must be a real gut wrencher.

I remember that tree. Go for the Shohin Harry, Go for teh Shohin. They are said (shohin) to be for little old men and women. This way you will be able to carry your tree and beverage at the same time, no pulled muscles.

Grin,

John

I hope I'm still around when Von has to wipe your chin after you eat, while your mumbling something about , wheel me out there, I can still move those big ones.

They are incredible trees. You do have to take yourself away from some of the "guiding rules" or you'll miss their charm.

I'ld love to see the Shohin Harry if you have a pic. I'm thinking about doing some grafts from my corker onto the JBP seedlings I'm growing.

Hi Harry,

Good to see a picture of the tree again. Hope it went to a loving and caring home.

Watch it John, they are for middle aged men too. I'm not as old as you guys, but I still like small trees. The big one is primo Harry. If you are downsizing I would get rid of that big thing in a hurry

Careful when you bend over to pick it up Harry, you don't want your underware to show!

You're a hoot Al, I love anyone with a good sense of humor. Some people take life way to serious, it's a very short ride , so we might as well enjoy ourselves. Keep posting buddy, I would love to meet you sometime.
