Nice job Andrew. I think you've substantially improved an already wonderful tree.

Andrew.

How's the Nebari? - I don't see it...

I think it's a nice choice - where are you getting these trees?

If it's not too rude a question, what did you pay?

Thanks

Jerry

Andrew,
I do like the new height. From the pictures provided I could only bring myself to remove only one of those branches. I have attached a virtual of the one I would remove. Reason for doing so would be that it is almost hidden by the one in front of it, it is also straight and bland and possibly a bit thick. This is just my opinion though. Still a gorgeous tree.

Andrew

Very good selection on your first chop.... Now all you need is super feed this poppy and in three years time you have a wonderful specimen in your collection.

Hi Andrew

I have had a little play with the image, not too disimilar to what you have done. Just keep it pinched and build up the ramification. It's a great tree now and will only get better.

Regards

Andy

I think the tree is a little tall for my taste, as Japanese maples are quite a spreading tree that are wider than tall when mature. I shortened the trunk more and extended the ramification a little. What do you think?

Firstly i,d like to convey my sympathy to heymikeys family and friends, i have not taken the opportunity to do this elsewhere. At the start of this thread is a heymikey virtual that i think is a great blueprint for this trees progress so i thought it apt here. secondly my apologies for not replying to Andy, Chris or Namakuns posts but thankyou very much for your thoughts and for taking the time to do virtuals. Now i,d like to update you all on this trees progress. growth this spring was very vigourous if a little later than my other acer.palmatums. i defoliated in june mainly to do a little wiring and today i took the latest picture, any further thoughts very welcome. regards andrew.
