Thanks. Personally I think this tree still needs another growing season or so. The lower right hand branch has to thicken quite a bit. Also, as in the crown, the lower foilage pads have to be encouraged to fill out in the following manner.
Repeatedly cutting back the foilage leads to a very upward zig-zag type branch structure in the pads which can then be shaped. Hank
