I thought that some of the tree's were delightful. It's a shame that there was nothing there to befuddle the mind though.

I found Persiano to be an intelligent man with a healthy disposition in the bonsai world.

The organisers should be congratulated except for the moron who told the Grand Matriach of Australian Bonsai, Dot Koreshoff that my garden was in the Dandenongs and that I only have a small courtyard in the City. I really don't mind if these people deride me but to waste Dot's afternoon by sending her on a wild goose chase is shameful.

Northwest would do well to encourage some of it's officialdom to concentrate on dwarfing their trees rather than dwarfing their lives.

That aside, I enjoyed my only visit on Friday nite and congratulate the organisers.
Cheers

Hi Lindsay
That is strange why someone would say that to Dot. I know that no one on my committee would of told her that as we all know you have your nursery in Hawthorn. Not sure who would of said that as we only know about your nursery in Hawthorn. Even hard to imagine Melbournians saying this as well.

Also not sure what you meant by the following comment:
"Northwest would do well to encourage some of it's officialdom to concentrate on dwarfing their trees rather than dwarfing their lives."

and being head of the "officialdom" just want to help understand what this means and if we can change something.

Thanks for your postive comments though.

David

Hi David,

Unfortunately I couldn't make it to the conference (someone had to stay behind to run the nursery, and as all of my workers were there, it was me that had to stay!).

Everyone I have spoken to from Canberra and Goulburn thought that the whole experience was brilliant, some said it was the best conference they have been to.

There was also mention of a DVD covering proceedings that could be purchased. Is it possible for me to get my hands on a copy?

Regards,
Leigh

Hi Leigh
Thanks for your positive comments.

Please contact me privately and provide postal details. I believe we are planning to order some extra copies.

Thanks
David
