2 Collected trees

I believe these are dwarf spruces, collected from my front yard and have been growing in the ground for at least 5 years now. I have a small idea of what i will do with them, wont start till next summer. There will be plenty of deadwood though ;p. First tree

You need to let them grow/ recover for a few years before doing any styling. What type of soil and container are they planted in. I'm assuming they aren't in the milk crates anymore.
