Anyway, they could be this big:

I have tried several things to make the pictures a bit larger but every time I do the forum rejects them. Guess you are stuck with this size.
As to the crop, well, like I said before I am no photographer.

I'm looking forward to this just from the standpoint of being a very humble beginner - a nice learning experience.

Thanx for sharing.

Ron,

I think close-up photos of branch structure might help. Particularly the BC...

Is that the elm Walter critiqued?

Ron,

I'm willing, but I'll see you in Asheville, so I will talk with you then.

Jim

If I get the chance I'll take some close ups of the trees. Right now I am kind of busy getting ready for this show. And my wife in her infinite wisdom has decided to have a new driveway put in. I keep having to dodge construction equipment.
No the elm is a different on. Walter has never seen this one.
The one he critiqued sold last year. Good thing I never had the chance to follow up on his suggestions. The lady that bought it liked it just the way it was. Me I like all that money she gave me. ;o)

If you are there on Sunday morning you can listen up to Brooks critique and report to the forum on the results. I might just lie a bit in my reporting. ;o)

By the way here are some crappy pictures of the other two trees that I plan on taking to Asheville.
Still have to clean them up a bit.
One is a Kingsville Boxwood and the other is a black olive

The Houston show is this weekend. Maybe I should do the same- bring some trees along for critique... See how many would come back stubs...

I'm sure you'll be having more fun!

Money talks, BS runs the marathon, eh? I thought it would have been interesting to compare the two recommendations, seeing your leanings to a "Chinese" style
