yay happy things :D

I left my Fukien tea tree this morning with two flowers budding nicely, I made my errands, spent more money that I should have (isn't that always the case) and bought my first bonsai book with lots of interesting info on getting started with native species as well as exotic ones. yay me. When I got home, I found two little white flowers staring me in the face, woohoo. I must be doing something right, I haven't had the tree for a week yet. well, I'm just an over excited member reporting the only intersting thing that really happened to me today. maybe others have little pretty happy stories to tell of their day?

Hi Daystorm
Yes i too am very happy at the moment cos today i found 2 Ficus Natasha in the same pot in my local Tesco,s for £2.99(I think that,s about $4)
I,m really chuffed as I,ve already got 1 which i turned into root over rock.
I love a bargain & a challenge. Good luck with your Fukien.

Congratulations!

From time to time I am made aware that some folks aren't aware of the Journal option. You can click the Journals link above and make a diary. The most recent diary listings also are available on the site homepage http://www.bonsaiTALK.com

But do feel free to continue this discussion here in the forum if you like.

Regards,

Matt

P.S. Thanks Caro, I added Chuffed to Treebeard's Slang Dictionary

Just to add a bit...

chuffed adj. Someone who describes themselves as being chuffed is generally happy with life. You can also get away with saying you are unchuffed or dischuffed if something gets your back up. Make sure you only use this word in the correct tense and familiarise yourself with the meaning of the word chuff too.

chuff v. To chuff is to fart. Entirely seperate to the word chuffed so use with care.

Sometimes you just have to love the english language. I had a happy thought! It's friday! I also potted up my first ficus. I've quite a few other trees, but this is my first ficus (I live near Seattle in the US and maples and evergreens are much better choices for outdoor bonsai here, not really tropical at all). The ficus lives! And my bougie is surviving it's air-layering so far....
