Wow - I'm jealous

Of all of you Europeans, just been surfing around and found this site with some excellent material - for sale even.

Good Stuff

Steve is actually a headliner at the WBC in DC this year.

So does anyone know of a similar place in the US, otherwise I might just have to move back to the UK.

Cheers
Ian

Hi Ian,

Another Ian here. Thanks for that link.

I had heard of a NEW nursery in the region recently, but never new its exact location. Looks well worth a visit.

Bewdley is only about 20 miles from us here, so I will try to visit shortly and get back a report. Material looks good - but what about prices ?

Cheers,
Ian.

Salibury Ian,

Have you been to Gardens Unlimited between D.C. and Richmond, Va., or Chase Rosade's place up in Pa? They don't have the imported Japanese stock that appears here, but they have some pretty good stuff (and I doubt it's nearly as expensive as these plants probably are)

Hi Other Ian, glad to be of service, check it out and let us know what they are like in person, and the prices. I am assuming these are going to be in the hundreds if not thousands but its nice to see good stock for sale.

Mark, I have been up to the Rosades place and bought some stuff up there but didn't see anything of this caliber, for sale anyway.

Bob, yeah I'm thinking of going to the mid-atlantic show to see some of Andys material.

Cheers All

Ian

Undoubtedly in the thousands.

I have family in the area so will definitely pay Steve a visit next time I'm up there and check it out.

Regards,

Fish.

Salisbury Ian,

If you're looking for Japanese imports in the U.S. that you can afford reasonably, you're going to be looking for quite a while. IT's in short supply because of import restrictions. Old yamadori in the U.S is a much better value--more plentiful and 'fresher" in appearance than any import.

You should contact Gardens Unlimited in Ladysmith, Va. and make a trip. They have superior trees to Rosades and its less expensive.
