I should bl**dy hope so. Working 60+ hours (excl. Internet time) on a 40 hr contract has got to have it's perks otherwise no one would do it for long.

Bottom line is what counts.

Over here, i dont know about the good ol' US of A, but it is very illegal to spend time on the internet or whatever for personal reasons during the work day except on breaks, counts as time thievery and the company has the law fully behind them if they decide to take you to court. My ICT teacher says the only reason he doesnt sue us for that reason is the college wont let him

I wish at times when the teacher is not lecturing and I am not busy with work, I could simply sit down at a computer and browse through bonsaiTALK. Unfortunately, if it is not school related, we are not allowed on the computers . That might be a good motto for you workers out there . Instead of going on the computer, I gladly put my head down and go to sleep. Try to get away with that at work.

I had an article written about me and my trees in the work newsletter

Do your superiors read the work newsletter? This could be why the site was banned .

I wish we had computers at my job. Although I would have to give up the fresh air and sunshine.

Well, we can't all be potters, lol.

The strange thing is that I have given seminars on how to get the best deal at a car dealership, no one listens, everyone thinks they can't be had and that my friend, is exactly the attitude that puts trees on my bench.

If you stay up until 2 a.m. reading threads that were posted on bonsaiTALK throughout the day, you would be suprised how well you can sleep at school.

Dale, you sound bitter LOL. You should have the experience of buying a car from me! I expect Will also has a happy client base. The fact is that the price is on the window, but folks will rarely pay that, so they set their own price. How is that any kind of ripoff? We sell a lot of Hondas close to invoice, but we'd rather get a little more. What is a fair profit on a new car? 5%? 10%? When dealer markup on almost anything else you can buy in the U.S. has closer to 100% markup?

Why do people assume car dealers are crooks because they need to make a profit? Why else would we be in business? If you name a price for one of your pots, and I offer an insulting amount, who is less ethical?

Heck, I have given discount to people who didn't even ask for one. Does that make me unethical? Or could the way we treat people be the reason we have a fantastic owner base who buy all their cars here?

Just curious. Is the invoice price what a dealer really pays for a car or is that just what is on the sticker. Is there a invoice and then an onion skin price ;o)
