Work

For those of you surfing at work. Be careful. This site was recently blocked at my work place. So far no trouble but...

Is it really worth the chance

I have recently changed my tune. It is just a bonsai site. My job is much more importent.

This also means (as you may have noticed) that I will not be around as much. This is also due to the fact that it is spring and I just have too much to do. Will still visit on the weekends.

Have good stuff to post (Marco I. workshop and demo, lots of styling and re-potting, etc) just no time to get to it. I had an article written about me and my trees in the work newsletter as well as setting up a display at work to trying to drum up interest for the All State Michigan Bonsai Show (it seems to be working, getting a great response) as well as trying to get my trees ready to show, pond and yard mantinence etc. Not enough time.

Anyway, some day I'll catch up (if I stop taking on more responsibility).

I'm online at work all the time, but as long as the work gets done -- and I bill the steekin' bejeebus outta the clients -- it's OK by the boss as far as I can tell. Heck, here I am on bonsaiTALK from the office ON A SATURDAY!

No lookin' at naughty pix, tho. You'll get a write-up right quick!

On second thought, prehaps I should work on my time management skillz ...

I have made a point to ask my boss if it's ok to check out bonsaitalk a few times during the day. He hasn't got a problem so long as it's not interfering with work.

I don't get a raise unless the client screams in pain.

I've worked at places where the amount of time you spend on the Internet is considered a compliment and a Perc.
It means to did your job right the first time. You're proactive rather than reactive. No complaints, no emergency calls.
If I don't here from the client or the boss for a month, things are running smooth. No news is good news.

My boss has threatened to fire me several times for playing with the computer too much. I don't often listen to him though. Well, occasionally that demonic little voice of his does come through.

Mostly whining that the company will not make the Fortune 500 list if I don't get to work. Sometimes we get into pretty heated arguments. Usually draws a crowd. Mostly they want to seem this nut arguing with himself.

One thing about being the boss and the worker is that when the argument starts I know that, one way or another , I will always win ;o)

Ahhh!!!! The American way! It's funny what we'll brag about and expect to be respected....and, often are!

If the glove don't fit....you musta quit.

And lawyers and car dealers wonder why people would rather have their b**** pounded flat with a hammer than talk with them!

as I hear my radio blaring:
"We're selling all our cars at dealers invoice , or below" .....(except for the new popular models that are 10% or MORE over MSRP....." )
