I personally perfer Annealed Copper for my conifers and pines, while I use Anodised (Brown) Aluminum for everything else.

I use copper wire for anything that requires strong wiring. The holding power of annealed copper wire is much better than aluminium.

I use brown aluminium wire for most other wiring tasks.

I have to agree with the rest of the posters, copper for conifers and pines - aluminum for my deciduous. Lesley

I use annealed copper wire for everything. it just holds better, i can buy it cheap and anneal it myself and can choose from #18-#6 depending on the appliction. Only #14-#6 needs be annealed. I've been using it for 30 years and it hasn't let me down. It just holds.

The only thing I use aluminum for is tying the tree in the pot.

Old clothes hangars and discarded grounding wire from demolition sites

The poll doesn't let me chose "both copper and aluminum."
