The holding power of annealed copper wire is much better than aluminium. I use brown aluminium wire for most other wiring tasks. Only #14-#6 needs be annealed. I've been using it for 30 years and it hasn't let me down. It just holds. The only thing I use aluminum for is tying the tree in the pot. __________________ GaryS
