Im hanging onto everything for dear life at the moment, the wind here is incredible!
The kids' garden slide and rocker has been blown down the garden, bird feeders everywhere, tiles blown from people's roofs, even a corrugated shed roof has been dispersed amongst the houses in the street!

I sit, staring out the window waiting for the sun to return...

And i've got this wonderful little rosemary in my back garden that i can't wait to get my claws into. I'm going for a cascade style as it is a ground-hugging beastie, but as it is in a huge container with a dozen other plants i can't even wire it until i get it into it's own pot

Gota be patient though, can't go killing it now...

Making soil (still to do), removing wire (still to do), weeding (yep, still to do), and a dozen other things (take a guess.... still to do).

Folks, I hate to be the pessimist, but winter ain't over. Not by a long shot. Here in NC the next two months are normally when we get blasted. It has been around 70*F the last week or so, but this weekend we get back to low forties and teens for lows.

Tomorrow we are getting thunderstorms. Has anyone else ever heard that when it thunders in winter it will snow within ten days? I'm not sure if that's just the South, the whole US, or the entire world. Seems true though.

John

My flowering quince I have stored in the cold garage.. is about to bloom.. also my elms.. had started leafing. spring is diffenitly too early... it's about 60 degrees when it's suppose to be in single digits... but the bad thing is that next week it's dropping temp down to sub freezing... as what it's normally is..
I wonder what kind of damage it's gonna cause.

Winter is far from over in alot of areas, as John says. In Nrothern Va., although we're set for two almost 70 o F days, temps are supposed to drop like a stone this weekend into the teens at night. February is a fickle month, as is most of March. Keep you fingers crossed and your trees undercover...
