Winter is here!

Hello All,

Well, here in the Midlands of England, we had our first fall of snow yesterday.

Not forecast, so it caught the local council out, hence the Gritters never got out of the depot, before the roads snarled up around Dudley where I work.

Rather than 40 minutes back home, we were stuck at work till 7.30pm, waiting for the traffic to die down, then another 2 hours back home!!!!

As usual, not quite so much by us, but a nice light covering.... here is a quick shot of one side of my Display Area. Lots of the more delicate species just placed into shelter last week.

I might need to do a "trunk chop" on my neighbours conifers very soon.

Shivering cold,
Ian.

The weather forecast says sunny spells, instead we get two inches of snow! Yesterday was the first time in ten years i could make a snowman, not a snow hobbit.

Hello Philippe,

Thanks, that is certainly deeper than the two inches we had yesterday.
Anyone else with current "snowy" pictures, please feel free to post here....

Best wishes,
Ian.

Sorry...no snow, but rain and 70F (21C) at 0700h today! We see a light snowfall once or twice a year on average.

Hello John,

Nice to hear from you. That would class as a "nice" summers day over here.

Thanks,
Ian.

Weather or not!

We love to look at the snow photos you all post. It reminds us of why we moved from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Charlotte, North Carolina ten years ago. Season's Greetings everyone

would be nice to have our snow back, it keeps the kids busy. Instead we are getting rain! of all things to get in Northern Ontario at the end of November. Miserable stuff that rain.
