[QUOTE=shibu]If you can't say something nice then say nothing at all.

I didn't like the direction of the trees, I didn't like the two dimensional feel of the group, I didn't like the styling (or lack of it) of the branches... but the preparation of the landscape around the base of the composition is extraordinary.

Therefore: Nice moss.

Morning shibu,
If you would have posted the above insted of nice moss there would not have been any misunderstanding!
Just like many others that are reading this comment, espacialy the novis bonsaiist it must have sounded very disrespectful.
Offcourse you should always give comments if you want, but think how others will read this i think, because like this you wil drive people away!
But that is just my point of few!
Regard,
Hans van Meer.

Hi Redpine,
I know you didn't, so know problems here.

No trouble. I guess I shouldn't have been so lazy about my post. Sorry for jumping on you so hard. Misunderstandings all around, it seems. Apologies again.

Why is everyone so sensative to critiques? I saw that my ficus' perfect run of tens was ruined this morning. This thread has some problem with moss and comments. The other forums I belong are in termoil and hostility. I went to school and had to pay dearly to have my stuff critiqued every day. After a few weeks you get used to it then you thrive on it, as time goes on. But that 9 ticked me off, but it was an odd number so that is good. Even numbers detract from effectiveness in design except the number 2, but don't you dare ever rank one of my trees with a 2. Merry Xmas everyone....

This thread was nearly closed once.

If no one has anything to discuss in a positive manner this afternoon, then I guess it has run its course.

Regards,
Ian.
