Where Can I Buy Rocks Online?
i've searched google and every where but i can't seem to find a place to order bonsai/penjing rocks off line. i need fairly big rocks with character.
i've been racking my brain trying to think of ways to make rocks on my own. i have looked at so many sites on the subject but none seem to touch on creating details and so forth. i've heard about the chinese using acid to make penjing rocks but can't find techniques on it or places to buy them. any help at all on this would be most opretiated. to give an idea of the rocks i need a drew a picture. i'm avidly looking for ying stone if anyone is selling or has info on where i can by none finished wild ying stone. heres link http://www.spirit-stones.com/type_ying.html also, if anyone here is selling any of their rocks it doesn't have to be ying. i'm interested in any rock(s) anyone is selling or can find for sale. email me or talk to me here wuweipenjing@yahoo.com is my email. thanks a million LA

I don't know of an online source for rocks but I have to ask, have you looked in the yellow pages? Here in Wisconsin we have rocks from all over the world at local stone companies.
We also have quaries that sell stone. You can go and spend all day picking through rocks.

sad enough i live in a very small town with only two rock places. the rock places here do not have anything special at all. and i cant seem to find anything that might be a hours drive from that would have a good selection. plus i live in florida which makes it impossible (in my area anyway) to find rocks in the wild that would be suitable for bonsai.
if anyone on this forum is from florida and knows a place i can plan a trip to get some serious rocks lemme know brother! garys i would imagine where you live good rocks aren't to hard to come by. one thing i envy about people who live slightly higher on the map then me or at least in a town that doesn't think buying ornamental rocks is crazy and bonsai is a term for jumping out of an airplane is that you have access to much more then me ![]() so maybe someone can name a place in miami, orlando, vero, tampa, etc. cuz where i'm stationed is smallsville usa
