When's the Freeze Over?
Ok, when is it warm enough to put my trees back outside.
I brought them in because of the freeze and now the temps in my zone 6 are projected to stay in the mid thirties over night and in the mid to upper fifties by day. I have also picked up a Styrax Japonica from a closed down nursery and had to do some root pruning to fit it in the largest plastic tub I have. It lost a lot of its spring growth but has a fair amount left that isn't freeze damaged. But, I don't want to put it outside too early either. Any thoughts? |

Wait til the forecast for nighttime lows is above 35. Forecasts are highly general and three or four or even ten degrees difference in localized areas isn't unnusual.
