What kind of tree is this? Quiz #2

Guess what kind of tree I have in mind Part #2.

I won the last contest and decided as my prize I wanted to do the next one. The prize Joaine offered for the last one is still up for grab (see below).

The Rules :

I'll come on and give answers regularly throughout the day. Be patient. If nobody has won by 10 PM EST or so it will be continued tomorrow.

You can only ask one question or make one guess at a time. You have to wait for someone else to ask a question, before you ask another question or guess again. If you ask post twice in a row, you will be disqualified.

The questions have to be answerable with "yes" or "no".

You can only guess the answer a total of three times, then you are out of the running entirely. So make your guesses count. However, you can ask as many questions as you like.

The correct answer will have the full Latin name. I will not accept answers that don't contain the full Latin name.

The Prize :

The prize will be a small ceramic plaque that Joanie sculpted (from the first contest), it's a bonsai and is glazed in muted stoneware colors. Suitable for hanging, throwing, giving away, accidently sitting on and breaking, or putting in a bottom drawer and forgetting for years, until you find out how much Joanie's artwork sells for at Sotheby's and drag it out, selling it for outrageous amounts of money and buying yourself a new tree and a week in Japan with any Master you choose.

Well, a nice little plaque anyway.

It can be ship it to anywhere in the world for free, too. (Thanks so much Joanie!!!)
