It looks like a procumbens juniper that has been staked-up. I'd pay $12.00 for it seeing as that is how much they cost at the garden centers and I don't see the dollar value in the wiring that has been done to it. You might get more $ for the Led Zepplin tapestry in the back, or the software CD to the side.

Agreed
But you'd best stick this thing outside because it won't be worth anything dead, or will it...(ebay ) |

I write this only so you know whats out there not because I insist you keep it indoors.
To keep it inside your room you are going to need plenty of extra $$ and very good horticulture, lights, humidity control etc.. . If you will dash over to Fukubonsai.com or the Bonsaihunk site you can read an article about growing indoors. Here is a sample from the article by Mr. Wikle. It is more natural and easier to keep a junip outside though I(redpine) believe but indoors can be done. "Now, how about needle evergreens as fluorescent light bonsai? I have heard again and again that junipers (Juniperus spp.) cannot be grown indoors for any length of time. I know that even if I swear here that my two oldest indoor junipers have grown inside under cool white fluorescent light for 21 and 19 years respectively with no outdoor vacations, there will be those who read this and continue to assure their friends that it cannot be done. Admittedly juniper growth is slow under fluorescent light, but they survive and are healthy."--Wikle

Juniper, while very hardy outside, are notoriously fickle inside intolerant of: low light, inconsistent watering, low humidity... The best bet is to stick outside on a sunny porch or balcony

Typical mallsai juniper. How much is it worth? Depends on whose buying and where it's being sold. You will get no more than $15 or $20 for it from someone who knows bonsai...
