What do Yew think?
How often has this happened to yew...Your collection is finally a managable size with trees yew like...yew think yew are all set...Then comes the monthly Bonsai club meeting. Turns out one of the long time members is moving to the Phillipines and is GIVING AWAY about 50 trees, cuttings and companion plants... Well that collected yew looks like it has potential...I wonder if it will still be there when my number is called? Yew betcha... Here are a few pics...

One more pic...
Here's what I like as a possible new front... It's got 4 nice branches at the top that are full AND bendable. Should easily be able to bring them down. I was thinking about styleing it with all 4 brabches knowing that that will probably be to much foliage. But then i can get a better idea... Take care, shawn

thanks for the note...we'll see what happens when I bring the foliage way down. Maybe the sparse foliage will portray the hard life this tree has had... I'll post pics after styling...

I love Yew (and I hardly know Yew)!
I think it has some nice bunjin action in it's future. I'm interested to see how it looks with the foliage brought down.
Nice catch! Mike |

Do Yew like this idea?
I was thinking of wiring one of the 4 branches into an apex, then jinning it after it's set. That would leave 3 branches pulled way down low...
