Wayward seedling ID needed?

Yesterday while checking my outdor trees I spotted a seedling that did not belong in my garden. I dug it up and placed it in a plastic strainer bowl. I have no idea what it is, but since I will be planting Tomatoes in that area, I didn't want to lose this seedling. Any ideas? I assume the seed was dropped by a passing bird...

Sumac have large compund leaves. elm leaves grow alternately on the stem, not across from one another...

Might help to look around where you dug this up to see if there's mature plant like it around to compare. As noted, this might not even be a tree species.

Thanks RockM:
The only thing near where I found this seedling (?) is my Interlaken grape vine. I plant two Tomato plants in this corner of my flowerbed. It is right outside of my Tree House. I am on a corner property, and there is nothing even close to me. That is why I though of a bird dropping...

The far left corner is where I found this seedling...

hi carl,

i have always got them, mostly they are silver birch or tea trees, i don't like the birch so they go but the tea tree often gets a chance.
im waiting for some of the rhododendron seed capsules to ripen so i can give them a crack but they are a few more cups of tea away ( not from the tea tree, although i probably could ) enjoy the wait.

Hortriot:
I am not quite sure which Tea tree you are referring, but in this zone, it wouldn't be a Fukien Tea. Different leaf. Not sure which tree you are referring to.

A silver Birch, I could live with, since there are a few several blocks away (at least a Kilometer), but not in the near vicinity.

Thanks for the info!
