Wanted: Korean Hornbeam - in Canada

Does anyone have, or know someone who may, a Korean Hornbeam for sale?

I live in the Toronto, Ontario, Canada area and haven't been able to find anything anywhere!

I live in Canada, and the only way I was able to get some is by sowing some seeds last fall.

I planted some carpinus koreana and turczaninowii.

Regards,
Patrick

I live in Southern Ontario between Windsor and London. I found a place in Markham called Kim's Nature Garden Centre. Eddy Chung had quite a large selection of trees. If he doesn't have what you need, he may be able to direct you.

I hope it's OK to present this info on the forum.
Best of luck.

Paul, Try Arthur Skolnik in Toronto
I shouldn't post email or phone, so just look up Shibui Landscaping in phone book..
Art probably has some imported KH bonsai left.
Dale

Dale,

Thanks for the info - I've already tried Arthur. He doesn't really sell to the public anymore. What he does is purely for hobby now...

Thanks again!

Patrick,

I do have some seeds, but it says that it takes 2-3 years to germinate, and I hear that the success rate is usually pretty low. Did you have any luck with germinations already?

Welll,

Im waiting spring to arrive. I should be expecting 77% with the turczaninowii and 90% with the koreana.

Wish me luck,
Regards,
Patrick

Thomas you got me drooling here. Check out those autumnal colours! Tree looks gorgeous. If I lived nearby and had the dollars, I would be beating a path to your door

All the best,

Aaron

Come on Aaron,
It's only a hop skip and a jump across the pond.
