Visual Analogies : Bonsai, Art And Nature

certain bonsai are strongly reminiscent of specific works of art, trees or landscapes.

i think it could be fun to examine these visual and intrinsic relationships by searching a picture of a bonsai and confronting it with a work of art or (natural or depicted) tree / landscape and vice versa.

the analogies or similarities should not necessarily be literal, they could as well concern the general ‘feeling’ of the depicted subject.

sharpen your ‘visual literacy’ and have fun !

I enjoyed looking at your comparisons, thanks for posting.

On a side note, I hadn't realized that Candy was now the owner of Nick Lenz's scarey tree. That's a halloween tree if ever there was one.
