Hello to all you bonsai enthusiasts.
I will be visiting Florida, from Wisconsin, in Mid to Late March and I am wondering if anyone out there can point me in the direction of a nice bonsai nursery in the area. I will be traveling out the Atlantic side of the state down to Key West and back up the Gulf side of the state. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks -Midwestbonsai |

.. before you head into the Keys near Homestead, Fl is
Miami Tropical Bonsai. They like large trees but have smaller ones also..

I agree, the nurseries Bart mentioned are probably among the two best in south Florida. Jim Smith (Vero Beach) and Alan Carver (Jupiter) are very helpful and knowledgeable.

I have not heard much regarding the Keys and their involvement in bonsai. If you had travelled off of the Islands to Southern and Central Florida, you would have found a plethora of bonsai nurseries.

Visit Bonsai Societies of Florida Website They have a dealer directory there. Also a lot of good tropical info. Read their newsletters as well. Wish more regional associations did this. ![]() |
