Vision of my Soul...stunning!

I just received my copy of Vision of My Soul by Robert Steven. What a stunning book. It's absolutely beautiful, with wonderful pictures...incredibly bound, with a silver leaf inset into the cover.

If you haven't yet considered buying this book, please think again. It's about $50.00, and Stone Lantern carries it. This copy is signed by the author in silver, on the inside front cover, and numbered.

I can't wait to read through it, because just thumbing through you get the sense of the lyrical, vibrant way that it is written. It is going to be the book to have, some years down the line.

Highly recommended.

It's on my Xmas list.
(Hear that, Mom?)

I've been a fan of Robert Steven's postings at IBC for years, and am eager to get my eyes on the book.

Got mine from BCI a couple of months or so ago. #607 of 1500. Maybe we could start another "club" here. FOS for fans of Steven.

Pootsie, maybe your mum would be willing to buy it early...mine is in the 700's which means that it is halfway through the run perhaps. Not all of them are going to be signed, right? Only the first thousand? Without checking for sure, that is my impression. It would be a shame to miss out on a signed copy.

Mike, you may want to get Cheng Kung's books on carving thechniques. It's an amazing book, and the highest quality bonsai you've ever seen.

Robert's and Cheng's books - I got both of them about a month ago - are amongst the best bonsai books I've ever seen.

Attila, I would like to get Cheng's book. Do you have a source?

There you go

http://sidiao.myweb.hinet.net/main1.htm

The books are pricy, but I think worth of every cent, if you are into carving.

I also got the manual tools from him last week (from the same website) Those tools are even more expensive. But they are of exquisite quality and workmanship. I really like using them.

Thanks, Attila. Please show us some samples of what you are doing with the new tools.
