I was told to use a fertilizer high in the middle number for a tree I have that was recently repotted . . . . an elm tree. From what I know, elms don't. Check the label. If it's anything other than NPK and trace elements, you may wish to use something else. just guessin' pootsie __________________ p.s. When in need of a high nitrogen fertiliser i use one designed for orchids. A good fertiliser high in PK is tomato fertiliser which many people use on flowering and fruiting bonsai, so i see no problem with using african violoet fertiliser. That is unless it messes with pH.
