USDA to Routinely Fumigate certain species

The rules [USDA] inspectors follow are constantly changing. For example, the USDA last September enacted an emergency declaration that could help prevent potential infestations in the future.

It states that plants from three plant groups will be fumigated whenever they are imported from Japan or Korea, because of problems with long-horned beetles such as the citrus group. Those groups are Acer (maple), Lagerstroemia and Styrax.
