Update on Heymikey's trees
I have pics of Mikes trees - not the greatest pics, but it will give you an idea of what we've got. If there is interest in more views of certain trees, I can snap some more pics.
There are also 20 some pots - most pretty cheap, but there are several nice large Japanese pots with chops. The trees will be auctioned off here at bonsaitalk in the near future. The proceeds will be donated to the California Bonsai Collection North. Hopefully with a plaque that reads something like "In memory of Mike Manos, known to his friends online as 'heymikey'." I'm not sure how many pics I can stick in each post - I'll see how it goes . . . Well, looks like I need to shrink all my pics - I will do that and get them up here asap. - bob

ok here comes the pics.
First is 2 japanese maples in plastic pots, next a very big quince - largest I've seen in a pot a larger J.maple - this is in one of those big styrofoam pots that look like a cement urn - it's bigger than it appears next row is a trident with thick corky bark a big black pine and a close up of the pine's base

so, there it is. There was also a big juniper, but it was infested with mites, so we are trying to nurse it back to health. Alot of the trees had gotten a little dried out, so are a little brown around the edges. But overall, they seem to be in pretty good shape.
Hopefully we will get the auctions up soon. Granted, these are not the highest quality trees we've seen - but they are heymikey's trees, and I hope in his memory we will be able to raise a good ammount of money. - bob

Bob, your efforts are not only appreciated, they are inspirational. Thank you! It is acts of kindness like the ones you've just shown that make me appreciate those things that are most important in life.
Thanks again.
