Just go to any Wall Mart , K Mart etc and look at the can. The name is on the label
If you do so will you post the brand name for the forum

Will try next time I go there but I am not sure what would I be looking for...Outdoor varnish?

Just go to K-Mart, Wall Mart, Lowes or Home Depo. Look in the paint section for
Minwax. Read the label on the can. It gives the brand name of the varnish to use.

Spar Varnish is used on boats and ships. The spars that held the sails on the old Wind jammer ships were painted with a similar product, since they were constantly in wet, damp conditions. Any Marine supply house would carry Spar Varnish!
