try maples
ha there i have a 4 year old try maple and live in australia , it is winter now , it is about 30cm tall there are 2 branches on it that i feel would be best cut off but there are no other buds on the othere part of the tree , if i cut the 2 branchs off will other 1s form in spring and will it live i dont know how to put a photo of in on this web page so sorry about not having a photo of the tree for you all

As long as there is other nodes that the tree can spring new leaves/branches from you should be ok. Just make sure that you don't let the medium stay too wet or you'll run the risk of root rot. Also you should leave the tree in the same pot (or better yet in the groung) without upsetting the roots, and when spring comes give it a good dose of fert. Thats what I've done in the past yet other more experienced growers might have differing opinons...Good luck mate!
